Baglio Custera
Baglio Custera stands in the territory of Marsala, on the hill of Rakalia, ancient Eraclia, famous for its lush gardens, favorable climate and abundance of water
since the time of the Punics, who built an aqueduct there to supply the nearby island of Mozia.
The baglio stands on an agricultural land in the context of a large olive grove and a
lush citrus grove, in a position overlooking the coast (hence the probable origin of the local place-name “Custera”) toward the splendid Egadi archipelago, a striking backdrop for exciting sunsets.
The baglio, modern and equipped with all comforts, recalls the architecture of the ancient beams of the area and harmonizes with the environment, in full respect of nature, which is the true protagonist of the place.
Guests, while enjoying all the services of a comfortable hotel, will have the feeling of living in absolute privacy thanks to the feature of the rooms that enjoy a double exposure: one on the inner courtyard towards the pool, and one in a reserved outdoor space in the midst of olive trees, where on comfortable armchairs they can sip a good glass chosen from the proposals of the wine cellar accompanying each room. The choice of materials and the definition of the spaces in the rooms, equipped with comfortable bathrooms, as well as in the common areas, arise from a project aimed at ensuring a relaxing vacation in a cozy setting, where you can enjoy the beauty of an enchanting place, appreciating the food and wine specialties offered by the restaurant that offers genuine cuisine in the name of Sicilian family tradition.
